We have so many wonderful people that we have met over the years, that have adopted a kitten/cat from us. I am going to try and get more updated references on here, I will try to add it page by page. Stay tuned....my computer skills and time are limited! lol
After you receive your Prairiebaby, we would really love to stay in contact. If you are pleased, please tell us! We are interested in how things are going with the transition. You can surprise us with recent pictures and send us frequent updates! Some of the e-mails and a small percentage of pictures will be displayed on this page (with permission, in short form) Thanks so much in advance!
Note: As it becomes obvious below, nobody ever can live with just one Prairiebaby! :-)
Cynthia Davis from British Columbia writes:
Hi Judith, We thought we would send you an update on the cats. They are absolutely amazing! They have settled in nicely to our home on the island, went through their spaying no problem and are still very very close. .....VERY affectionate and always engaged. You might not be able to tell from their pictures but Chard looks SO much like her dad and she is 16lbs!! Sebasti is long and lean like her mum and is now 13 lbs. The vet is in love with them and can't believe they are so relaxed all the time. Any and everyone that comes to visit falls in love. ..Cynthia

Hi Judith...All is well. The meeting has gone extremely smoothly.........Judith, you do such an excellent job socializing your kittens. Within minutes of coming out of the carrier, Scully was on his back to get a belly rub from my cousin. No shyness whatsoever with either my cousin or me as well as Kes and Quin.

All is well with Rusty. He's turning into a big kitty and is such a lover boy. I love that boy so much he gets away with everything. I have taken Rusty to work a few times now and he's in the nursing home the whole evening while I work. He roams around like he owns the place and visits with the residents. Four times now Rusty has sensed that a resident will die. He will lay on the bed with the person untill they have passed and then come meowing to me or one of the other nurses as if to tell us what has just happened. That's amazing!....... Rusty is the best natured cat that I have ever had and he's my pride and joy. Thank you again Judith. God bless. Wilma

Hi Judith, Baby boy is wonderful!! We adore him. He has settled in terrifically and our resident cat is doing well too. Aidan renamed the baby "Thunder" so we'll always have you in our thoughts. I'm so happy that we found
you.

Hi Judith Breeder of Awesome Maine Coons, Icy Blue arrived sparkling clean, he had not soiled in his crate at all. What a beauty!!! That luxurious white coat, feels like what angels hair would be like, and a big ruff already! Those clear blue eyes! He makes the cutest expressions. This is the most incredible kitten, and he is SO people centered that he acts more like a dog than any cat I have ever met. And then there's those poly paws... wow. He uses them for much more than walking! He even stirred his water. I am addicted to Prairiebabies!!! Please send more!!! A grateful fan, Lisa ![]() Update: I took Icy Blue to another TICA show in New Traits. Comments: "Very nice MC, I haven't seen good MCs like this in poly" "It's great that the type is improved in the polys since I last saw one" "fabulous chin and profile" "Great scoop in the profile and nice strong chin" "Great boning". Lisa has been faithfully showing Icy Blue in Tica, in order to help promote Polydactyls in the show hall. She has two cats from my breeding!
Sharron Beaudette writes: He’s so adorable and we just love him. He’s checking everything out not once but twice. He trots up the hall with me at night, jumps up on the bed and stretches out and starts to purr – time for sleep - it’s his absolute right you know. It’s like he’s been living here for 4 years not 4 days. You did a wonderful job with him! Sharron |
Marlene Gifford from Manitoba writes:
...They are wonderful! Both are eating with gusto and playing in full gear. Their vet visit to Dr. Stewart Hay went very well - she said their bone structure is just fine and hearts sound good - and she exclaimed that she sees excellent cats coming from your cattery (ours included). No issues at all. ........- we love them both dearly. Cheers, Marlene.

Dr. Jenn Rae from Ontario writes:
Thanks for everything, Judith - she smells amazing, by the way - yummy!I'm completely smitten with her - ....... She's got a beautiful disposition, it's already obvious. She's so gentle with her big mitts, and even gnawing gently on my fingers. ..... She's exceedingly happy and playful, and hands-down the most delightfully affectionate cat either of us has ever owned. She's VERY attached to us (especially Jim) and she follows us everywhere; wherever we are, she's there. Just like a puppy. ......She is just over 9 lbs at 6 months, so is a big girl, and perfect in every way.

Jenn isn't the first doctor who has one of my Prairiebabies, but has won the award to be the first one who owns two of them! :-)
Alisha Olson from British Columbia writes:
Hi Judith! ..... My vet was EXTREMELY impressed with Mezzo. I believe the exact words were "Now THIS is what a Maine Coon should look like!!" After spending an hour with him, she was floored by how personable he was. I wasn't at all surprised, he is incredible :)
Mary Andrews from Ontario writes:
Hi Judith, We are thrilled with our new arrival Blue Frost! After getting to know our little boy, we changed his name to "Dennis the Menace". The BEST thing about him is how loving he is. He makes the cutest trilling sounds and follows us everywhere throughout the house....... We took Dennis to the vet for a check up last week. He was so impressed, he said PrairieBaby is obviously producing outstanding quality not only for beauty but outstanding temperament as well and that’s so good to see. ... We can tell you love what you do and we know without a doubt that you are the best at it! Judith, thank you for raising such a delightful boy…Love, Mary, Tom & Minnie Andrews, xoxox
Mary is thinking about obtaining a second cat from my breeding :-)
Jason Desouza from Ontario writes:
My wife and kids have been at home with little Tigger. He has settled into the family seamlessly, and his temperament is absolutely wonderful. He is great with the kids, and is very playful and inquisitive. He is eating rabbit and chicken mostly, and gets beef (which he is absolutely crazy about) every once in a while. The Feline Future mix is simple and a part of our routine now. ......By the way, the folks at the Vet's office (including the dr.) are absolutely in awe of his great type and temperament. He is absolutely a dream at the vet according to my wife.
Jason now has two cats from my breeding!
Leslie Goodfellow writes:
Hi Judith, Cassie and Luna are doing extremely well. We feel that they have settled in nicely and are very relaxed with all family members including our Schnauzer! They are eating both the raw and dry like little piggies! They come running at mealtimes and lick their plates clean. All is fine on the litter box front too. Stools are solid and both girls are very “regular”. They both have such sweet personalities - - very affectionate and hilarious when they play (they play-fight together regularly which is also very funny). Again, we are so happy we decided to get both sisters at the same time. They are the best companions and when one is in another part of the house, they actually call for each other. Regards, Leslie

Judith, Gambler arrived at our place yesterday (named him Razor) - he took all of 5 seconds to get used to his room! He now purrs whenever you come close to him! He's got the cutest little meow and he speaks to us often. ...........Thank you so much for all of your help in this process. I can see why you've been doing this for so long, if all your cats/kittens become as awesome as Gambler/Razor! Thank you!
Then about Moose, the other cat Graeme has from me: "... I've never had a cat that LOVES to be picked up and carried around like Moose. He asks for it! and Purrs when you pick him up... both of our maine coons are sooo awesome!! Thanks Judith :) (Moose weighs almost 20 pounds at one year !!!)!

Hello Judith, All is very good. Both kittens are adapting to our home very well. The Vet visit went very well. Our Vet Dr Stewart Hayes had indicated you have excellent reputation and truly is a passion of yours to be breeding such beautiful cared for Maine coon cats. Both of their plumbing is working fine. They both are super affectionate. Cloche continues to follow me in the kitchen. We truly love both kittens. Thank for everything and filling our hearts with so much joy. When we picked them up at the airport both Bob and I started to cry. We are extremely happy! Thanks a mil Judith. Janet

Hi Judith, thought I should report that all is very well in Stouffville. Both
kittens are having an afternoon nap after enjoying their beef/chicken
lunch. They really eat well and all other functions appear normal.
We visited the vet yesterday PM and both kittens passed with flying
colors. Mr. Rufus Brown actually lay down on the scales and made
himself quite at home. Both our vet and his assistant were taken
completely by them and were amazed at how friendly and outgoing they
are. They really are terrific and Maureen and I are so thrilled to
have them and to provide for them:-))) Thanks Judith for raising such wonderful creations, they truly are wonderful. Peter and Maureen

Brenda Sato from British Columbia writes:
Merry Christmas Judith! Thank you so much for our new baby girl. Missi was born to be with us. Right from day one, she acted like she had been with us forever. She is so funny, she makes us laugh everyday. I was a little worried about the Christmas tree, but Missi is the perfect angel, she likes to sleep under the tree on top of the presents. As you can tell from the picture with Santa, she has no fears and can be in any situation. We can hardly wait for our next baby girl. Thank you again. Brenda and Dana
Tracey Tromp writes:
Dear Judith, We have named her Hobbs and when we get a boy we will name him Calvin. She is fantastic. She loves the whole ground pheasant! It is really easy to make the raw meat mixture. She is adjusting quickly. She is very brave and curious. Everyone who has seen her instantly loves her - and are fascinated by her feet and ears! I can't understand why the polydactyl trait isn't viewed as a positive characteristic. Here at Princeton among faculty we all think it is an evolutionary advancement! Cheers,
Tracey
